Confirmed speakers for Cesco Week 2013

 

The Center for Copper and Mining Studies (CESCO) has the pleasure to inform that the different activities that are part of the Cesco Week 2013 already have world class confirmed speaker, highlighting its relevance for the world mining industry.

Michael Chender, CEO of Metals Economic Group (MEG), will present during the VI International Exploration Forum the recent trends for this activity, mainly during 2012 with emphasis on Latin America. MEG is the main global source of exploration statistics. Other confirmed speakers for the Exploration Forum are Glenn Nolan, president of PDAC, Rodrigo Vergara, president of the Central Bank of Chile, and David Lowell.
Other highlights are Edward Meir, Senior Commodity Consultant at INTL FCStone, who was voted the world's commodities analyst in 2011 and Orlee Wertheim, Head of Business Development, Mining, Toronto Stock Exchange TSX

Diego Hernández, CEO of Antofagasta Minerals. and José Antonio Valdés, General Manager of Pacific Hydro, will give the opening presentation of the Mining, Energy and Water Summit 2013. Also, a session about ways to improve the energy availability for mining will count with Andrés Alonso, president of the Energy and Climate Change Comission of Chile's Mining Council, Juan Manuel Contreras, Executive Secretary of Comisión Nacional de Energía, y Daniel Salazar, director of Operation and Tolls of CDEC-SING.

The Sulphuric Acid Seminar, that will take place for the 2nd time this year, has among its confirmed speakers Raúl Martínez of Codelco and Alfonso González of Incomare.

The keynote session of the 12th World Copper Conference  "Age of the Argus-eyed" has Vanessa Davidson -Group Manager, Copper, CRU-, Andrew Harding -CEO, Copper division, Rio Tinto- and Thomas Keller -CEO, Codelco-, among its confirmed speakers.

Some of the confirmed speakers for the Molybdenum Seminar are  Tim Outteridge, IMOA's Secretary General; Fernando Eimbcke, Executive Vicepresident of By-Product Sales of Codelco; Robert Fig, Senior Business Development Executive of the London Metal Exchange and Carlos Letelier, General Manager of Luoyang Hi-Tech Metals Co., Ltd. (Molymet).


World-class experts have been invited to the Human Capital Seminar "Talent for Mining, Global Challenge for the Industry", which seeks to analyse the regional and global reality of the Human Capital demand in the mining sector. Hernán Araneda, Manager of the Innovum area of Fundación Chile, will present the second version of the study: Brechas de Capital Humano: Inversiones en Minería y Demanda de Talento.

Also, the Cesco Dinner the 2013 Cesco Dinner will count with the presence of Martin Abbott, CEO of the London Metal Exchange (LME) as keynote speaker. Reservations are already available.
